Disney Springs has quickly become our favorite dining location in Orlando with the addition of exciting new options seemingly opening up every few months. Not only are there several new restaurants in development – such as Jaleo and the Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill – but menu changes and newly added brunches have been popping up at several of our favorite eateries. One of the restaurants which regularly mixes up the menu is Frontera Cocina, and this week the restaurant debuted a new Oaxaca-themed menu which highlights the rich historical flavors harvested in the Mexican Pacific coast region.

Having the opportunity to dine at Frontera Cocina is such a treat. The restaurant is located on “the springs” of Disney Springs and has a great casual atmosphere. They offer a kids menu and it’s a great family-friendly dining option at Disney Springs.

Seven-time James Beard award-winning Chef Rick Bayless is back with another regionally-inspired menu at Frontera Cocina. The Taste of Oaxaca menu follows up two other regionally-inspired menus rolled out earlier in the year. Bayless has been traveling around Mexico for decades, and is sharing his experiences with Disney Springs diners.

We were invited to Frontera Cocina yesterday at Disney Springs to try the new Taste of Oaxaca menu from Chef Rick Bayless. The James Beard Award winning chef – seven times over now! – has been changing up some menu items seasonally, allowing guests new, creative dishes on a regular basis.
